Math
Today we started our new unit about measurement, area and perimeter. First we looked at a picture in our math workbook of students measuring various items with non standard units of measurement. I asked students to point out what they were using to measure. Some were using their arms, some were using string and ribbon, etc. Then students had to pick 2 things in the classroom they wanted to measure. They first had to estimate how many paper clips, erasers, and pencils tall their choices were, and then they had to measure them using those items. Math tests have been sent home. Please sign them and return them tomorrow.
