March Break Camp at SJA
Today we continued learning about 3D figures. Students worked in their table groups to match the 3D figures with the clues given. Then they had to pick something to build with the 3D figures and build it. They drew and picture and told how many figures they used. They had so much fun with this!

UOI with Language Focus
Today we read another 2 chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for our Novel Study. Students answered some comprehension questions and filled in some character traits for one of the characters in the book. We also did a journal entry about what students would do if they woke up and everything was frozen. We talked about how our journal entries should have proper spelling, punctuation and that we should be using sentence starters (first, then, next, finally). They came up with some great ideas!

Daily Five
Today students had time to work on some reading or writing. They could read to themselves or a friend or work on some writing. Some students worked on their spelling sentences and some worked on their cursive writing.
Unit of Inquiry
Today students works in their partners again to finish their rough copy of their inventor biography. Once they were done, they started their good copies and drew a picture of their inventor.
