March Break Camp at SJA
Today students reviewed the terms faces, vertices and edges. They went over common 3D-shapes and in groups discussed their properties. They had to trace the faces of 2 figures and tell what was the same about them and what was different. After children were giving 2 different shapes and had to list their properties. Then they had look for similarities and differences in both figures.

Today we got our new spelling words for the week. Students wrote them down and worked on their spelling exercise workbook. If they finished early, I gave them time to get a head start on their spelling sentences for the week.
Ms. Yustin was away today so gym was cancelled. Instead, we got some exercise by doing Just Dance where we got to dance along with the instructional videos! The students had a blast!

Unit of Inquiry
Today students started a project on a chosen invention that they got to work on with a partner. The pairs got to pick from 6 different inventions including the airplane, the telephone, the car, the lightbulb, basketball and the steamboat. They received an information package and had to find the information to the complete an Inventor Biography. Most students are almost done their rough copy and we will be working on our good copies tomorrow!
