We are offering 7 weeks of summer fun with a minimum of 3 excursions per week. There is lunch and snack options and before and after care available. Register before it is too late! Ms. Hughes would be happy to answer any questions you may have. She can be reached at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com

A Message from the Grade 4s

Math
Today we went over our math review. I had all the students use a red pencil crayon or crayon to mark their own work as we went over the answers as a class. I had students put up their hand to tell me the answers and they gave themselves a checkmark if they got it right or circled the correct answer if they got it wrong. We reviewed the concepts and went over any questions the students had. They did a great job! Our test will be tomorrow.

Reading Buddies
Today we had a visit from Mr. Conte's grade 5s for reading buddies. We got to read some harder books that we can't usually read on our own. Thank you to them for all their help this year!

UOI with Language Focus
Today students started the comment section of their report card. Together as a class we brainstormed what we learned this term, what we had fun doing and what we can improve on. Then the students had to pick 2-3 from each list and write them in full sentences.

Unit of Inquiry
Today we joined Ms. Gandy's class to watch a documentary by Disney called Planet Earth. The movie follows certain animals for a whole year to see their growth and to explore their habitats, including the challenges they face due to climate change and their predators. Some of the habitats we learned about in the movie were the arctic, the desert, the rainforest and the jungle. We will finish the movie tomorrow.

Have a great evening!
