Grade 6 Exhibition
A message from some of the grade 6s:
Donate to people who are homeless
Grade 6 Exhibition
A message from some of the grade 6s:
Donate to people who are homeless
Hi!!, Our names are Mona, Joana, and Shivam.
We are doing a project called Exhibition where we choose a topic we are interested in and want to research more about in order to make a positive difference in our world. We chose the topic of homelessness because we do not want anyone to be without their basic needs. Every person has the right to have a home and food to eat and clothing to wear.
We are collecting donations so that we can donate them to Angela’s Place, a homeless shelter right here in Mississauga.
You can donate:
- Non perishable food
- Clothing (for all ages such as Pants, shirts, hats ,shoes and more)
- Toiletries (mouthwash, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrush, and deodorant)
- Seasonal clothing
- Baby formula
- Diapers
- Baby products
Reason why we are doing this= Our plan is to help people who are homeless who need food and clothing and any other useful materials. After collecting these materials, we are going to donate all these items to a shelter called “Angela's Place”(45 Glenn Hawthorne Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5R 4J9).
Thank you so much for making the world a better place!
Please bring items to Ms. Jaskolka's class (Room 30)
Another Exhibition message from some grade 6's
Dear St. Jude's families
We are two grade six students doing an assignment in which we have to take action to make the world a happier and better place to live in. We ask you to please sign the online petition to support us in banning violent video games for children under the age of 18-years-old. Thank you for your time.

Math
Today we reviewed area and perimeter. We did some examples on the board together and then students completed some worksheets that got them to practice measuring with a ruler, calculating perimeter and calculating area. Our test will be next week and the review will be going home on Monday.

Today students wrote their spelling test. They have been marked and sent home to be signed. Please return on Monday. Then students had some time to finish their opinion letter from yesterday about why a penguin would or would not make a good pet.

Arts Night Rehearsal
We had some time to rehearse our arts night song and dance with Ms. McMillan instead of having music today. We have been working very hard on adding more actions to the dance. Please have your child continue to practice the words and actions at home. Arts night is quickly approaching!
Unit of Inquiry
Today we continued working on our famous artist inspired artwork. They have worked so hard and look great! The summative expectations have been sent home and we will begin on Monday. Students are asked to bring in their research and materials on Monday.
Have a great weekend!
