Jump Rope for Heart

It is that time again! We will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart on Thursday, February 14th. Donation packages have been sent home. You can make a pledge using cash or you can donate on the website - jumpropeforheart.ca. House points will be rewarded to each student who brings in donations. If we meet our school goal of $2500, students will be rewarded with a fun activity. Let’s see what we can do SJA. We will be skipping on Thursday and ask all students to come in comfy clothes

Math
Today we started a new unit on 3D figures. We went over the name of each one and talked about what vertice, edge and faces mean. Students got to hold the figures and count the vertices, edges and faces and we made a chart together as a class.

Daily Five

Today students had time to work on some reading or writing. They could read to themselves or a friend or work on some writing. Some students worked on their spelling sentences and some worked on their cursive writing.

Unit of Inquiry
Today we talked about how inventions are so important even to this day. We talked about certain inventions that we couldn't live without. Students worked with a partner to explain why 3 inventions are so important. They did a great job!

Have a great evening!
