Thursday, June 13 - House Cup day - wear house colours
Friday, June 14 - Last day of school and promotion ceremony

Agenda:

Math test signed
Spelling test signed
House cup tomorrow - wear house colours
Promotion ceremony Friday - wear nice clothes

**Black shoes have been sent home, as we don't have uniform days until September now! Workbooks and journals have also been sent home and do not need to come back to school.**

SJA Summer Camp

With summer around the corner, what better way for your children to spend the summer but here at SJA! SJA summer camp registrations were sent home earlier this year. We are offering 7 weeks of summer fun with a minimum of 3 excursions per week. There is lunch and snack options and before and after care available. Register before it is too late! Ms. Hughes would be happy to answer any questions you may have. She can be reached at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com

Today was our year-end play day! The students were so excited to participate in all the fun games and activities! We got to go on some bouncy castles, play tug of war, play bowling, do potato sack races, do some bean bag tosses, do relay races, get our faces painted, get some henna body art, and get fun balloon animals/swords. The students had a blast! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped out today!

What is Action?

Many people think that Action is easy to define. It is something you do, right? But Action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world?

If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. It’s all about how we as parents, educators, and the community, support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents!

About Me

Hello, my name is Sara Brasil and I am so excited to be joining St Jude's Academy for the remainder of the school year! I completed my education at Wilfrid Laurier University and Nipissing University where I achieved an undergraduate degree and a teaching degree. My background is Portuguese, and I will be getting married this October.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher and worked hard to pursue my dream. I love working with children and working alongside them to build their potential and realize their own dreams!
