Jump Rope for Heart

It is that time again! We will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart on Thursday, February 14th. Donation packages have been sent home. You can make a pledge using cash or you can donate on the website - jumpropeforheart.ca. House points will be rewarded to each student who brings in donations. If we meet our school goal of $2500, students will be rewarded with a fun activity. Let’s see what we can do SJA!

French
  • We didn't have French today because Mlle Jessica had to cover another class.
Math
  • We started a new unit today about data management. We talked about graphs and then made a pictograph to graph our class's favourite colours! We talked about what needs to be included on our graphs and why we use them.

Gym
Music

Inquiry into Language
  • We wrote our spelling test today!
  • Samara created her own book and got to read it to the class. They loved it!

Unit of Inquiry
  • Today we brainstormed what it means to be a risk-taker. After we completed a sheet describing what we think being a risk-taker means and how we can be/have been one. We gave examples to the class of when we had been brave, tried new things or even went outside our comfort zones.
Please continue to work on the book retell with your child. Reminder that it needs to be between 3 and 5 minutes.

Have a great weekend!
